Back in 2009, Patricia Serafin saw the need for food in Lake County, so she decided to do something about it, and she originally called it: "A Helping Hand". As soon as she saw the response she got from the community, she knew she had to expand out into the community. With the help of many people, our organization has grown into Lake County Helping Hand.
Our mission is simple, but not very easy: End hunger in Lake County. We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change, and since we are a Non-Profit, we rely on the generous donations that are given to us, that go straight back into the community.
